Medication Management
Medication management is a treatment approach that involves the use of medications to treat mental health disorders. It involves working with a healthcare professional, such as a psychiatrist or a nurse practitioner, to find the right medication and dosage that works best for an individual's specific mental health condition.
The healthcare professional will evaluate the patient's symptoms, medical history, and any other relevant factors to develop an appropriate treatment plan. They will prescribe a medication and monitor the patient's response to it over time, adjusting the dosage or medication as needed.
Medication management is often used in conjunction with other treatment approaches, such as therapy, to help individuals manage their mental health conditions. The goal of medication management is to improve the patient's quality of life by reducing symptoms of the mental health disorder and improving overall functioning. It is important to note that medication management requires ongoing monitoring and evaluation to ensure its effectiveness and to make any necessary adjustments.
Patients should communicate openly with their healthcare provider about any side effects or concerns they may have about their medication.
*We DO NOT prescribe Benzodiazepines, Opiates, Suboxone or Stimulants.
Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy
Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy is a treatment approach that uses a medication called ketamine to help people who are struggling with mental health disorders, such as depression, anxiety, and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). During the treatment, a small dose of ketamine is given to the patient, which helps to change the brain's chemical balance and relieve symptoms of the disorder.
This medication is administered in a safe and controlled environment, under the supervision of a trained healthcare professional. While the medication takes effect, the patient is guided through a psychotherapy session with a trained therapist. This combination of medication and therapy helps the patient to process and explore their thoughts and emotions in a new way.
The goal of ketamine-assisted psychotherapy is to help patients gain insight into their mental health condition and develop coping skills to manage their symptoms. Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy is typically used as a treatment option for individuals who have not had success with traditional treatments or medications for their mental health condition.
It is an innovative approach that has shown promising results in clinical studies and is becoming more widely used by mental health professionals.
